While we always strive to ensure a smooth, safe, and professional service experience, we understand that there may be instances where things don’t go as planned. This Refund Policy outlines when and how refunds can be requested, evaluated, and processed for services booked through Biddutbid.
Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities related to refunds when using our services via the Biddutbid app or website.
Customers may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:
If a confirmed service booking is not fulfilled due to the technician failing to arrive, or if the service provider cancels at the last moment without valid reason and no replacement is arranged, the customer is entitled to a 100% refund.
If the service was partially completed or performed below expected standards (as determined through proper investigation), a partial refund or full refund may be issued depending on the extent of the issue.
If the service provider delivers a service different from what was booked (e.g., wrong installation type or incorrect repair), and it cannot be corrected within a reasonable time frame, a refund will be processed.
If a customer is charged more than the approved service rate or is charged multiple times for the same booking due to a technical error, we will issue a full refund of the excess amount.
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
If the service was completed and approved by the customer at the time of delivery.
If the customer cancels the booking after the technician has already been dispatched.
For minor dissatisfaction not related to performance or safety (e.g., technician behavior unless it violates policy).
If damage occurred due to faulty home infrastructure or external factors not related to Biddutbid’s service provider.
If the service has a warranty period and the issue arises after that time has lapsed.
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please follow the steps below:

Service booking ID
Description of the issue
Photos or videos (if applicable)
Payment receipt or transaction ID
Once your request is received, our Quality Assurance team will conduct a thorough investigation. This may include:
Verifying technician logs
Reviewing customer feedback and complaints
Contacting the technician involved
Examining media evidence (photos, videos, etc.)
This process typically takes 3 to 5 business days.
After the investigation:
If the refund is approved, you will be notified by email/SMS/in-app notification.
Refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days from approval, depending on your bank or payment method.
Refunds may be returned to:
The original payment method (bKash, Nagad, Card, Bank, etc.)
Customer’s Biddutbid wallet (for future service use), if preferred
Refunds may be processed as one of the following:
Issued when no service was delivered or when major service failure occurred due to the fault of Biddutbid or the technician.
Issued when part of the service was delivered or when there is shared responsibility for the issue.
As an alternative to direct bank or card refunds, customers may choose to receive refund credit in their Biddutbid wallet, usable for future bookings.
Customers may cancel a booking at any time before the technician is dispatched. In such cases:
No penalty if canceled at least 2 hours before service time.
Cancellation fee of BDT 100 may apply for late cancellations (within 2 hours).
No refund will be issued if the technician is already on-site or service has started.
If you need to change the time or date of your booking:
You can reschedule from the app at least 1 hour before the scheduled time.
If a technician cannot accommodate your reschedule and cancels, you will be eligible for a full refund or free rebooking.
Biddutbid reserves the right to reject refund requests or suspend accounts that exhibit fraudulent, dishonest, or excessive refund requests. Examples include:
Frequent cancellations without valid reason
False claims or manipulated evidence
Attempting to claim refunds after service has been completed and confirmed
Our platform aims to protect both customers and technicians fairly.
If you have subscribed to a monthly, quarterly, or annual electrical service plan or entered into a corporate maintenance agreement, the refund terms may vary based on:
Service level agreement (SLA)
Contract terms
Duration used before cancellation

Biddutbid reserves the right to update or modify this refund policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
